Bangalore/Udupi:
The JD(S), BJP and Congress may not like this: at least two astrologers
have predicted that Karnataka will face midterm polls.
Chief
minister H D Kumaraswamy’s wife Anitha Kumaraswamy is reported to
have consulted an astrologer Ramesh Bairi in Vandar village near Mandarthi
of Udupi district three months ago. Speaking to The Times of India,
Bairi said he had predicted the present political impasse.
He says
the state is heading for mid-term polls. According to him, he does not
see any chance of rapprochement between JD(S) and BJP. He says discussions
in New Delhi will not yield any positive result. He also predicts that
it is will be difficult for Kumarswamy to continue as CM even if the
Congress extends support.
Well-known
astrologer Daivajna KN Somayaji said the power tussle will end with
the dissolution of the assembly. Elections to the assembly and Parliament
will take place in February-March next year, he predicts.

But
one astrologer predicts that Kumaraswamy may just retain power. In May
this year both Kumaraswamy and Yediyurappa did a joint village stay in Srirampura in Hassan district.
The uniqueness of this village is that it is full of soothsayers. Village headman S L Lakshmana, when
contacted by TOI then, had predicted that Kumaraswamy will continue
in power despite an occasion early this year for him to lose the post.
But now, exasperated by the developments,
Kumaraswamy may just give up the post. But power will not be transferred,
says Lakshmana. “His situation is like a swimmer who is
asked to swim with his hands and legs tied,” he adds.
