“I have
experimented when I was a Jail Superintendent and the results were astonishing,”
Dr. Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay said.
Prof Manav,
who learnt the science in great details to expose people using it to
exploit poor people, underlined that one ‘can gain control over another
person by using hypnotism.
“But
if the other person is unwilling to receive the commands, it is nearly
impossible to hypnotise,” he explained adding, even hypnotised persons
refuses to receive suggestions for performing an immoral activity.
“Therefore,
one cannot order a hypnotised person to commit crime,” he said.
Prof Manav
maintained that the science is being continuously used for treating
patients. “But it is most effective in relieving stress and hypnosis
comes very close to meditation techniques propounded by various religions,”
he concluded adding, self-hypnotism is nothing but practising meditation
to get rid of ill-effects of stressed life style. |
